The back is real glass, just like a normal back. Only difference is this you can see the guts with

I know you obviously cut the back, but did you make the back plate yourself or did you buy it from ebay or something.

The only flaw I see in the back panel is the fact that the only component you can really see is the battery. Other than that it's kinda nice.

Well I tried making one myself out of backs that were already broken from repairs I did, but I couldn't do it without scratching the glass and leaving the lettering. My friend took me to a place where they sell backs like that for pretty cheap in all colors. So I got one.
