when i boot up my computer that has been booted up before i get this screen and then nothing els happens There is just a white bar that keeps blinking and the rest of the screen is black [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The only time i had this, was when my RAM had come loose. So try that as a PC cannot boot without RAM in it.

What? I didn't say take it out, i said make sure it isn't loose. As if it's a got a dirty or bad connection, it won't boot.
