Since graduating from high school about 3 years ago I quit keeping up with the latest hardware and my current rig is pretty outdated so I need some help building a new one. I'm not looking to overkill but, I also want to be able to play all the lastest games on at least high setting with no problems at all. My budget is between $1300-$1500.

Here is my input on the build, not an expert so I would wait till someone who is better at builds to swing by.

Gave you an OS since you didn't say whether or not you needed, plus there is plenty of room left, if you need a monitor/keybored/mouse.

Do you need a monitor?
Do you need a KB/Mouse?
Do you need a OS?

Please reply with the information as we can give you a build to your needs.

I do need an OS. I could do without a keyboard or mouse but, if you guys have one you'd recommend then I'm open to it.

If you still "need" one of those ancient optical drives, then pick the cheapest one.
If you choose to torrent Windows 7, get one of these keyboards:

I really like this build man. I've seen a lot of people say the i5 was the way to go but, wasn't sure. I'll be ordering the parts soon thanks for the help.
