If it was faked they most had a good reason to fake it

The only reason they had was too best the radians to space, and I wouldn't say that's a good one!

Or you can just think about why we haven't been back... Or at least, that's what the public knows. There's that one movie named like Apollo 13 or whatever that is pretty convincing...

I've never thought about it like that but it seems real to me.

It would be quite hard to make something like that up.

I definitely think they were faked, not only did it look like the flag was waving but also in the same picture with the flag the shadows were casted the opposite was the sun was shining.. The only explanation to this would be a man made light source, aka movie set lighting.

There's 14 pages of replies before this one.
You'd think at least one person would have explained why, and they did.

The flag waves because it's in a vacuum, the force of putting it in the ground would make it wave, and they had a mesh wiring that ran through it to keep it open, rather than flopping around and looking unpatriotic for all of the Americans watching at home.

There were more light sources than just the sun.
The light reflecting off Earth's atmosphere, their visors, all of their equipment and the Lunar lander itself which was covered in reflective panels.

I beg to differ, if there were other light sources you would see a double shaddow cast from a single object rather than just one solid shadow cast from one object as seen in the pictures. As for the flag, thats an easier one to explain.

Some light sources are stronger than others giving a stronger shadow.
Also, the light reflected off the moon's surface itself would blur out other shadows.
The shadows don't all point in the same direction because they aren't all on the same level, you would only expect them to point in the same direction if the moon's surface was flat, which it isn't.
