at least now they have an idea of where to improve, and yes i agree that the 1st one was quite aweful. how do you lose a serial killer in your own house several times

This one will definitely be better due to the fact that it shows all the events of what happens during The Purge.

I hated the first movie. It was such a big and broad topic that could have been so much bigger. Instead they decided to take that huge topic no one has really though about and make it a home invasion movie. Finally they're thinking outside the box and decide to turn the tables and put a couple out on the streets. I defiantly have high hopes for this movie.
