It should say "a plane is about to drop a crate" in the bottom left of you screen then you go to your map and look for the big green circle. The crate will be dropped in the middle of that circle. If the crate is already dropped it will be a green square with a question mark in it.

You need to be a certain level. It will alert you when it drops in. When it says Crate Drop inbound press start and look for the Green Question Mark. When you get to the area you will see a Red flare if i'm not mistaken, there will be a few enemy's 3-5 roughly. Take them out then collect your reward. Normally 5k RP 5k cash Amour and a gun of some sorts Hope this helps!

I was in a game earlier today when three crates dropped in 5 minutes, and another where a crate never dropped.
