You have no chance of getting even a half decent PC which is a pre-built for your budget. You will be getting a bad APU build most lightly which will struggle to run most games at good frame rates.

I see all these posts about comps under $1000 and it really makes me realize that just my Graphics Card cost almost or more than double that

So basically, you bought something stupidly overpriced, or you have a workstation.
And for a prebuilt gaming pc, 750 will probably be a minimum for anything good.
