Gameplay
Now, as we know, this game has had so much hype over the last god knows how many months. Not I was very skeptical about going into this game, as most don't live up to expectation. But Titanfall has in my opinion, it is super smooth to play and it's only the beta. You start by going through 14 tutorial stages these include how to use the special weapons all the way down to how to get the best performance from the Titans. This tutorial can be quite lengthy but if you get it right, even that is so much fun. The customization of the kits is really good for a beta version, you have 3 classes (Rifleman, Assassin, and CBQ) along with two classes for the Titans (Assault and Tank). Now I just stuck to the default classes as it takes time to level these things up, but I like that as you cannot really rush through the game. Online play is very smooth and the servers hold up well. Overall brilliant game so far and cannot wait for the final release.

Graphics
The graphics are outstanding, the terrain detail is top notch and everything else blends in nicely, The color tones are spot on with smooth transitions between light and dark. The screen does have some tearing in it when turning and moving fast, but this is a small dig from me as I'm fussy about these things. The detail of the Titans are superb, there is nothing i could complain about with these. And like it has been mentioned before, this game isn't very hard to run at all. I was achieving 60FPS @ 1080p on Ultra detail, everything maxed out. That is brilliant for a game with detail like this. There are some FPS drops periodically, but this is how a Beta should be, it's to fix things that aren't perfect. But overall I'd call it next to perfect, it's unbelievable how they have done this. All of this inside a 12GB download. Wow...
Here are some pictures I took while in game.

Controls
The controls are very standard for a modern day FPS game. But this is the best thong they could have done with them if I'm honest. I had to change the mappings of 2 buttons, but that's down to my personal preferences. The only changes I can see over any other modern FPS game is the button to swap your weapons for ones laying around, on most games I've played it's "Hold R or E" but on this they have simplified it so much all you need to do is tap "G". I never knew it would be that easy but, it makes such a difference. The default sensitivity is perfect for me, I have my mouse at 2000DPI and it never had to even think about changing it. Very well laid out controls.

I can't really answer that, as I was having the same troubles. But I only play Hsrdpoint, and that seems to get me kills.

That is a delusional review. I cannot see how you could ever give it such high ratings.

Yes the game is a Beta, but the graphics which I cant see changing are so far from good its no where near next gen.....little own last gen.

That are incredibly poor. The weapons all feel the same and have little to no effect on the surroundings. Hello COD was doing more years ago.

Is it better and more fun to play than Ghost, hands down yes. But on a game and hype stand point it looks to become boring very fast. As the game plays out the same over and over. Mechs everywhere and a haze of non tactical game play.

Overall Ratings
Gamplay - 4/10 ( boring and nothing new...other than mechs )
Graphics - 2/10 ( no where near next gen )
Controls - 7/10 ( sound but blah double jump )
Overall - 4/10

I have played the beta and gotten to max level (14), but i really dont think the graphics are as good as you rated them. Overall though i'd give this beta an 7/10.

What platform do you play on? If you say Xbox one i will completely agree with you, but on PC it has surpassed so called next-gen graphics.

PC has been "Next-gen" for years.

Also, those ratings are your opinion, I like the game therefore the higher ratings.

Those graphics are astounding. I don't have an xbox one yet but I am thinking of getting one for Titanfall when the price drops.

Awesome review Craig.

Nice review I agree with most of it apart from the graphics since we only saw it in 720p.
