I have just built a custom pc, but when I go on skype and plug my triton headset in, it doesn't show that they are plugged in. Anyone got any ideas how i can fix this?? No sound comes through them, yet i have speakers in which play sound.

try to see if your headsets drivers are installed and make sure you have plugged the jacks into the right one, but im pretty sure its drivers, download Driverspack from the piratebay or something and it should do it for you.

When I use speakers along with a headset I cannot communicate with people over Teamspeak but as soon as I remove my speakers everything works fine, this may be your issue too. Try removing the speakers and leave the headset in itself and test it this way.
I know it's possible to use speakers along with a headset but as I haven't looked into it I can't give you any specifics on how to do so. I guess you could try to use google to find a solution.

Go to Skype options > Audio Settings and see if you can set the input and output to your headphones.

Make sure the sound is enabled through your sound source through Skype. And make sure you have the latest sound drivers for your sound hardware device installed.
