I have been researching this for a day or so and it seems that I can only R-JTAG or RGH2.0
I have a Zephyr mother board and the dash is 2.0.16547.0. I was wondering which I should do? Does one cost more? I tried finding the R-JTAG ultimate kit but have had no luck. I've never tried anything like this before so i'm not sure what parts I would need or even where to buy them on top of that. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The RGH2 is extremely unreliable on Zephyr consoles, and isn't recommended at all. Has an extremely high failure rate. If you want to R-Jtag yourself then buy the starter kit and buy a NAND reader, make sure you have solder, soldering iron, flux etc. If you don't have much solder experience then I recommend sending it in

You can still get the R-Jtag starter kit on thetechgame.org , but it is discontinued, so it'll run out of stock soon most likely. There will be a replacement for the R-Jtag soon though, it supposedly has faster boot times than the R-Jtag.

Where would I send it in? I can solder and know people who are very experienced with soldering I'm just not sure of all the parts I would need in the first place. Also the post after you completely contradicts what you've said so I'm still unsure but I have seen videos explaining how R-Jtag is more reliable and boots much quicker. But as you mentioned all I would need is the starter kit and a separate NAND reader. That's all I need? And where would I get the NAND reader.
Thank you very much for the support

The R-Jtag kit is discontinued, but you can still find it on some websites. The R-Jtag is a lot more reliable too. Whatever website you want to get the kit off of (I recommend thetechgame.org) you could also buy a NAND reader from, I would get either the NAND-X or the JR-Programmer. Both work great, it's all depending on how much you're willing to spend

If you want to send it in then look in the marketplace and look through the stickied sellers, most of them if not all offer a send in service and have a fast turn-around.

First thing you should do is go download J-Runner and use the images on there so you know how to install the CoolRunner and the Nand wires if you're going with the direct wire install.

What you need:
-TX CoolRunner (Recommend the latest REV C)
-JR Programmer v2/Nand-X (either one is reliable, JRP is cheaper)
-QSB Kit (I do not recommend them but it's optional. I had a hard time with them)

That's honestly all you need to buy other then solder, flux, soldering iron.
A magnifying glasses would help, even a handheld magnifying glass would help.
Other then that, make sure you USE FLUX and don't strip the wires an inch, do a cm or less. If you want real support go on Team Xecuter's website.

All these items, you could probably get for about $50. Word of advice, DON'T BUY FROM ANY SITES OTHER THEN THOSE RECOMMENDED ON TEAM XECUTERS SITE!!! They are either faulty returns or unreliable clones. I learned the hard way and bought a CoolRunner from JMT on Amazon for $10. Just pay the extra $10 for a real 100% guaranteed working one. Another thing, if you do go through with all this and it works, when you dump your nand, MAKE SURE to make a backup of your stock nand dumps before you create or write your ECC! I lost a Falcon because of this stupid mistake.

Lol, I forgot.. R-Jtag is like stated above, discontinued! If you can find it, go ahead and go for it. I have heard boot times are quicker that of RGH 2.0 but close if not slower to RGH 1.0. You can always do things to improve boot times though, so really it's just the difference of whether or not you can wait more then 30 seconds for your xbox to boot xell or boot to the dashboard.

I would talk to some of the Trusted Sellers about doing a send in because it might be more expensive to buy everything and do it yourself. I did a send in fro RGH and it was like 60-70 bucks. I don't know how much the parts are but I'm going to say close to that.
