Also have you checked to make sure the power brick your using has the correct wattage to what your xbox needs?

If power brick goes red as soon as you plug it into the 360 you have a short on the board. Check your usb ports are damaged and the points not touching eachother. If it is not that open it up and make sure there are no loose pieces of metal in there and that the jtag wiring is all in place. If it is none of these I am afraid you likely have a component failure on the board and it is shorting out the rest of the board and unless you have a multimeter and lots of patience it is a dead 360.

Yes it usually does got a load of boards at home with either this or 3rrod secondary error 0001 or 0002.

replace your powerbrick or try pluging it directly into a outlet instead of into a surge protector
