Sure that will get rid of the passcode lock but that will then activate the iCloud/FindMyiPhone activation lock which is harder, if not impossible, bypass.

OP- Unless you can find someway to get the information from the original owner or guess the passcode you are pretty much SOL.

Smash the phone yeah i know it sounds stupid but if their's no way to bypass the locks then your gonna just need to smash it make sure it doesn't turn on then get an appointment with the apple genius bar pay 180 pound get a brand new one or refurnished one
