My friend flipped my Xbox upside down while I was playing GTA. I got a laser burn on the disc and I was wondering if this was fixable at all?

Thanks

You could take it to a game store to get it buffed up, but if you want to try your own way you could: for example, you could use crest toothpaste with crystals and try rubbing that in the scratches, or you could take a crayon and lightly color over the scratches( if you do the crayon idea then only rub up and down do not go sideways at all because that could scratch it worse, then take a soft towel and soak it in water. lightly rub off the crayon in an upward motion.), i have used this one and my game worked good as new after wards.

Trying the crayon method now. I'll let you know if it works.

Thank you.

No luck with it. I had better luck with toothpaste, but nope :/

You can try to take it to gamestop and see if they can fix it there. I know that they have a machine that can possibly do it, depending on how badly its laser burnt.

There is a method of applying toothpaste to the disc, leaving it for 10minutes and gently wipe clean. This works for some people believe it or not ..

I wouldn't even bother trying to get it buffed out, it never works for me. If you have the receipt, you might be able to exchange for a new one.

I would try to take it and get buffed, but if you have a friend that has the game and just got it recently, get his receipt and take it back for a new one.
