For themes you'll need to download Winterboard which I believe was just updated for 7.0.x Then just look up what kind of themes and modifications you want after adding a large repo which usually contain them. Many themes will need to be updated to 7.0.x though.

You need to get winterboard. Once you have that, download the theme you want. From there, go into winterboard, and select the theme you just recently downloaded. After you select your theme, you must hit respring, or your theme will not come up. Once it is finished restoring, your selected theme should be applied.

Can you delete Winterboard once you've installed a new theme or do you need to keep it?

Why would you want to delete winterboard? Winterboard is essentially a tool for jailbroken devices that just changes themes. You open it up, select the theme and restart your phone. It virtually just changes the theme.

If you really want to delete it for what ever reason, you can't just delete it like a normal app, obviously. However, if you go back into cydia and type "Winterboard", you'll see that it has a green tick, click it. At the top right, it should say "Modify" click that and then hit "Remove".

Just to add - I've never removed Winterboard with a theme installed, I wouldn't imagine it would delete the theme that it's currently set. However I'm not 100% Sure. Do it at your own risk. In my opinion, I'd just keep it installed. It'll save you time if you ever want to change a theme. If it really gets to be a problem, just put it in a folder.

This could be so many problems. The most common one, is that you've most likely installed a theme that is not meant for the Iphone5. This could mean it's an Iphone4 theme, or meant for IOS6 jailbreaks (since Ios7 jailbreak was kinda rushed,ios6 features, such a themes, are still present in ios7 jailbreak).

You should try to see if it is compatible with your Device / version
