Okay so today i decided to hook up my HD PVR again after not using it for a while using component cables(have used these every other time) on the exact same tv and ps3. All my cables are in the correct places however on my TV and the capture window the image displays black and white. If i use the same cables with out the PVR plugging them directly to my TV the image is fine. Is my PVR broken. Will +rep for answers thanks.

If it's only doing it with the PVR then it's safe to assume that it's your PVR.

I Used to get that a lot, turned out a cable was a bit loose, so I Would check the cables in case one is loose before you put it in

Hey man IDK what the actual problem is I would have to take a look at it but from my point of view you might have a wire in the wrong slot or your xbox jacks are in incorrectly and your on the jacks input and not the pvr input. Hope that helps!
