Its has been roughly 42 years since the last time we went to the moon. I think that there has to be a reason behind it because i think that we would still be trying to learn more about the moon, like why would be just not go there for 42 years? I don't know, in my opinion i think that something happened up there. I know that with Apollo 11 the tapes were "accidentally" erased and re-used.

Why do you guys think we have not gone to the moon recently?

The American public lost interest.
Once the space race was over NASA's funding was cut.

Not only that, what is the point?
There is very little more for us to find out about the moon.

We have moved onto bigger and better things like going to mars.

It cost about $150 Billion in todays money to go to the moon.

There is no point in spending that kind of money on going somewhere humans have already been.
That is why we are investing the money into the mars missions.

I think it's a lack of money and interest to fund it. We do have eyes on the moon though (robots) so there is not too much of a point.

There's a lot of different conspiracy's about it but imo it's because they saw some things up there that they fear. No doubt that they're hiding some things from us let's be real. lol

You can see the moon with extreme detail with a telescope.
If they saw something on the moon, they couldn't exactly "hide it".

I think the answer is in the movie Apollo 18. Thats why.

No but really I just think that it cost way to much and we(NASA) would rather put that money towards exploring Mars.

Probably because it costs too much money, and there is nothing else really to be discovered about it. + Probes and robots go up anyway, if they found something we would know
Besides, we are past that now, our next big journey will be mars
