It's required to have 2 controllers. Unless you find one more person. For example. Me and my guest, (2) then another friend of mine and his guest (2) so that's a team. Then 1 person on the other team with a guest, (2) then you and then someone else. But if that someone else doesn't want to do it the way you're wanting to, you know it's not really going to happen. Fortunately for you, I'm always online, therefore I don't really mind who I boost with or how it's done, considering I only care about my K/D and W/L. As long as I win and don't die I will boost in any game mode.
