As of right now almost any console can be glitched. The RGH works on every console except Xenon and Zephyr above dash 14719. The RGH2 method would be used for dashboard 15574 and up on all consoles, and usually have boot times around 7-30 seconds, but if it's a falcon then it can take up to 10 minutes. R-Jtag works on all consoles except Xenon from dashboard 15574 and up, and usually has pretty good boot times (around 7 seconds)

official_hoster_xx wrote They both are able to do the same thing. The only difference is the way the hack works. RGH needs a mod chip, and JTAG only needs a few wires.

The reason why there is two types of exploits is because Microsoft patched the JTAG exploit after kernel 7371.
So, if you have a console that's 7371 or lower you and JTAG it, if not you can RGH it.

What you should be more concerned about is the type of console and not the method.
Jasper / Slim consoles will rarely end up messing up where all the other ones frequently brake

He's asking about R-JTAG, not JTAG.

@OP - Boot times on RGH2 can range anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, so if you're okay with that then go for it. Keep in mind that certain motherboards are quite troublesome with RGH2, especially falcons.

Ouzfy wrote How different are the boot times?

boot times could be seconds apart every console is different depending on the NAND being good the motherboard how old the console is and... possibly the soldering nobody likes cold solder but most RGH's boot within a minute or so Not completely positive as im a little knew to this..

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm going to RGH because it's cheaper and I don't mind boot up times. Will I also need to purchase a j-programmer or a NAND-x?

Yes you would need some kind of NAND programmer. I would recommend sending it to someone if this would be your first install, anything could go wrong and if you mess up in the slightest it will ruin the console
