If someone is "rebelling" about not taking the pledge or standing for their national anthem then they shouldn't be living in that country. It's totally disrespectful when they don't take the moment of silence seriously, that's like spitting on the soldiers grave.

No it doesn't tick me off because I was one of those students that didn't stand up, sorry.

As for the moment of silence thing, yea that kinda of got me mad. It's like can someone not just be quiet for literally five seconds?

Well being a Senior in High School I must say, I do get tired of doing the pledge everyday. I understand why we do it, but after 10+ yrs of doing it everyday in school I can understand why someone wouldn't want to get up and do it even though it only takes 20 seconds of their time

I can agree with the moment of silence and that people should be respectful and silent in honor to the nation, however, the pledge I will have to disagree with. When I lived in Texas, we had to say the pledge every morning, which got quite tiring after years. In Calgary, Canada, we sang the song once a week, that was bearable. Where I live now, Norway, we don't say the pledge at all or sing the song, and I'm totally fine with that.

Enforced Nationalism, i don't agree with it.

"Country of the Free" Should have the choice if you want to do it or not.

Moment of silence should be respected though.

You know what else is like spitting on a soldier's grave? Actually spitting on the grave. Sure there talking during a moment of silence is disrespectful but don't make it into more than it is. They're disrespectful but not to that degree.

Texas has a state pledge and the regular pledge. You say the regular one first then the Texas. I stood up for the regular one but sat down for the Texas. I hated it when I lived in Texas.

No one in my school actually says it, but I get really pee'd when people don't stand up.
