My friend jail broke his iPad by going on
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and downloaded whatever file is compatible with your computer and then open the file after it's done and click jailbrake after you plug your iPad in

Definitely go with the evasi0n jailbreak, it's the fastest and easiest! Just download the jailbreak for your firmware and then hook it up and it should find your iPad, and just click jailbreak!

Go to Jailbreakmatrix.com and they have a chart for firmware just pick what firmware you have and it will tell you what to download and a step by step tutorial video
