so a few months ago my account got hit with a macroing ban (minor) i still have my account after a 24 hour ban, however... all of my 99's got reduced to either 98 or 97. what is up with this?! i also had 20M gp less in my bank. i have since not played due to my level of frustration. i have messaged jagex many times only to get no replies. does anybody know something that i am missing?

they ether lower and remove items or perm ban your account, you were lucky as my account was perm banned

Yes, this is considered one of the punishments given out to individuals who bot in the game.
Around 2 years ago I was banned for around 15-20 days because I had been botting my Range. My punishment included; All skills halved in exp (turning my legit 99's into 92's), a halved cash stack (lost 50M),and some of my items taken away from my bank (lost some weapons).
Ever since these miserable and terrible consequences I have never touched a bot. I continued to play however as I enjoy the game and wanted to prove myself right that I don't need a bot to get good 99's and cash stack. I was able to bring myself back up and even past my previous levels before ban.
I contacted Jagex several times during this period, but they never replied.
I think you got a little bit luckier, however, it's still a really big pain.

hey thank you so much for the help guys! i have been on RS for nearly 7 years. and so much has changed. im not gonna lie i was botting my mining because... lets be honest. mining is well mining. i had no problems using epicbot, however i tried using a diff script on a diff botting program and i should known. instantly detected.

Botting now a day's is real bad they upgraded there anti bot system and you will be caught within a Matter of hours.

yea iv been botting one of my accounts for 2 days now and no ban i wouldnt take the risk of botting my main anymore though
