I agree with you.
Ive always asked myself why Celebs and athletes get paid so much. I understand that it is still hard work, but you get MILLIONS just for entertaining people. Dont criticize my opinion just for that, I know that those types of jobs can be stressful and most lead to drug addiction especially as a teen, but still.

The people who actually should make tons of money make dirt.
What about the people out there saving lives, busting their asses off to try and make this world a better place?
All the soldiers, cops, firefighters, etc. Out there do so much for us and they don't make anything. Some soldiers can't even get a job after serving this country.

Personal Story:
My father used to serve in the military, between 5 - 10 years. He became a SSGT before his service was no longer required and he could finally go home. I was so excited but one problem I know realize when I look back on, is that he got very little money, something people need in the real world. He now has a job, but does not pay well. He works very little hours and not making much per hour. It's very sad considering how he risked his live to protect ours, and he did not get much credit. I believe veterans should be given a job or atleast money until they find a decent one.

You don't get paid millions for being on a TV show.

They get maybe $15,000 per episode? No more than $30,000 for sure.

That is a fair cut of what they are making the producers of that show from the viewers they are bringing in.

Spoiled rich kids are not overpayed.

They are not paid at all.

They just live off daddies money so that shouldn't even count towards a "being overpayed" thread.

Invoker wrote True, but I wouldn't consider here "grind" to get to where she was as professional or hard(well, perhaps hard ;])

If you think she made $40 million just from a sextape, you're kidding yourself.

Well she wasn't that famous until the sextape and it propelled her and it shouldn't be that easy.

I don't understand if you all are complaining about the system (ex. hard labor = low money, 'easy' labor = high money) or if you're just angry you're not getting paid as much as celebrities.

Ok then... who do you want to pay them? Because the government pays their salaries and the government gets their money from... us.

If you want to help out cops pay some extra taxes or make a donation to the government.

P.S. not all soldiers, cops, and firemen deserve tons of money. Half of the soldiers recruited ever leave the borders and less than that fight.

They get paid by how much revenue they help create. Just like the nfl. They get billions of dollars in revenue in a year. So they can afford it and the athletes deserve it. Without the athletes they would have nothing.

That's why you need to get in a business that earns millions daily.. I doubt sanitation work earns much..
The media/sport industry earns billions and If you are lucky enough to get into the business you will be earn tons of money, it's a hell of a lot harder to get into that business as opposed to working at a garbage tip..
Though there are some jerks who don't deserve all the money *cough* Justin Bieber *cough* and then there is the people who get into the business making millions because their family are in the industry where they don't have for work for anything (will smiths family) that pisses me off

Jersey shore was the most viewed reality show ever and now look at the cast.. They have mansions and sports cars, they were making millions to get drunk and have sex with random girls on camera

It all depends how popular the show is (Charlie sheen was the highest paid actor, making almost 2 million an episode because of how popular two and a half men was) if it was an extremely unpopular show, no one watches it then maybe they might make 15k an episode but if the show was that unpopular they would just cancel it..
