That's why you never point a gun at anything you don't want to shoot. That's rule number 1, even if you are 100% sure the gun it's not live. The idiot probably forgot he had one in the chamber. Probably just dropped the magazine and assumed it was unloaded.

Well, they tried CPR on JFK in the hospital even though he had a huge part of his skull flapping off his head.
When you're in a situation like that logic goes out the window.

You can't just assume a motive and assign guilt to someone though, innocent until proven guilty, and it's hard to prove guilt without a solid motive.

CPR actually makes sense, the person could be injured to the point of not being able to breathe. CPR could conceivably save their life.

While It's extremely wrong to drink while handling the weapon, at least he died while demonstrating others how to properly used one. So sad to know how negligent some people can be. He died happy, though.
