once i get the patch into my game file how do i load the patch with my game

Launch the default_mp.xex

Make sure you're on the correct Title Update for that specific game or it won't work.

is there a way to know which tu you are on? i just got my jtag so im pretty new thanks for the help!

Don't believe so, just boot up the default_mp.xex and if the menu don't load in-game, you're on the wrong one.
