Reading the replies in this thread are truly rattling my brain.

Did anyone even bother to read the article?
Lets get the facts in:

- It was manslaughter. He got 4 years as manslaughter is a charge where the penalty is given at the discretion of the judge in question. Personally i agree with his sentence.

- The guy was disabled. Completely irrelevant due to the fact the accused, nor anyone else involved, knew this.

- No sound with the footage. This therefore allows us to explore the possibility of the man genuinely being racist, racist causes provocation. It is something that is deep in the roots of people with aspergers; they see the world differently and therefore, in MANY cases, can be very aggressive and argumentative, highly stubborn. I only know this due to family members (3, unfortunately) having the syndrome. He may have not been used to coloured people and brought it up saying no white man would ride around on the bicycle on the pavement.

Honestly, his sentence may strike many people whom do not understand much as horrific, however they blindly follow the report of, lets say lesser newspapers, such as Metro.

Feel free to down vote this post as I know many will want to, as I am not going for the moral tact everyone seems to wish upon britain, but fact and order.

He got such a short sentance because it wasnt pre meditated. He didnt intentionally kill hin so it is classed as man slaughter.

If you plan to kill someone then you get life because it shows you wanted to kill.

Deserves more but in australia theres a law i think if you punch someone once and they die, thats considered okay you will get jailed but not for long since its only considered as a punch not murder
