When going for the skull achievements do I have to carry it to the end of the level or just pick it up once then beat the level ?

You don't even have to beat the mission if you already have it completed. Just start at a rally point or the beginning (whichever is closest), pick up the skull and save and quit.

I think you have to start the mission from the very beginning if you want the skull to show, not sure though. But once you get the skull you don't have to finish the mission because the achievement will pop up as soon as you pick it up.
