I don't care about "OG"
If the GT is clean and suits me I'll have it.

This is just a paraphrase of myself because this topic comes up every few weeks and I'm far too lazy to go find an old reply of mine.

A gamertag is your alias, its what people are (for the most part) going to refer to you as online. So obviously you'd want to be in the minority and have a clean and rare style tag. Its just like your TTG name. "Shape." You obviously wanted it to look nice. Your username isn't "xxiShApE360xx." I have a few clean tags, none of which I would consider "OG," but all of them would sell for a decent price if I wanted to.

TL;DR This rant is often made by people who don't have the means to obtain a nice tag for one reason or another. I'm not trying to be harsh, but its true. If you had the option between "Shape" or "xxiShApE360xx,' you know exactly what you'd pick. Now bragging is totally different. That's up there with judging people by their friends' list. Just dumb.

Please your complaining over Original gamertags, the community of gaming has created this problem and will not rest so, anything you do will not help it's just immature ranting about it why don't you read the news and rant about real things that people are blind about.,

I'm one of those people that like having a clean looking gamertag but I agree with you, it's on a game and it's just for fun. I will never pay for a gamertag lol.

I agree with you kind of, I would still want an original name on anything.

Simply because it looks better, people also can remember you better if you have an original name.

I think OG gamertags are understandable and then it crosses the line when people create or buy gamertags that are random english words that have no relevance to anything about the person or anything remotely close to their lifestyle. I think if you have a gamertag, it should have some meaning to it. For example, when the PS3 came out, I had the PSN name "cryptokiddovans". How lame is that? But it meant something to me: crypto - favourite character from favourite game(destroy all humans). kiddo(my friends name was wizz kidd) and vans(because I loved the shoes). Then I made another PSN with my three initials with an underscore between them, because I grew out of destroy all humans and wasn't as good a friends with "wizz kidd". I will never understand trying to gain internet fame, however I would pay roughly 2 dollars at most for the gamertag with just my name, "Alex", because there are other things I can use that are personal to me which will separate me from the crowd.
tl;dr
Paying for a name is pointless unless its practically free.

*EDIT*
But to be honest, I really don't care. People can spend their money on whatever they want because it doesn't effect me(unless I know them personally or its someone I genuinely care about, then I will want to share my opinion).

Yes this does annoy me a fair bit. People really do not know what "OG" means these days.

For the record it means Original.
