I played a dude yesterday in MLS cup that only scored with headers. I usually defend them perfectly but he would short pass from a corner and time the cross perfectly to wide open Obafemi Martins. The RAGE was immense.

Think about what I said? That playing using only skills and longshots is not akin to real life football. I think what I have said is perfectly sensible. In real life people do the odd long shot and skill but it is not all that a team will do. People in FIFA will only do sklls and longshots. They won't even try to play their way into the box.

Dani Alves does not Always use them. He will have the odd pop at goal. Dani Alves plays for Barcelona. Barcelona are one of the best passing sides in the world. They create chances from short passing. Dani Alves is part of the team and plays to the Barcelona style. The Barcelona style is not longshots and skills (failed argument from you)

It seems to be that some people have not read my rant. I didn't say that in footballing there is never any skills or longshots. I said that no team is reliant on this alone. I said that longshots and skills are not a style of play, which they are not.

If people on here are honestly trying to tell me that performing skills and longshots is style of play in real life then they must get their footballing knowledge from FIFA alone.

All I'm saying is that people who do long shots and skills look retarded as they find themselves going 3 goals down within 20 minutes because they can't retain the ball.

Its FIFA, it doesnt have to be realistic, if it was 100% real, it would be no fun. If you want a real football experience, actually play football. I think sweaty people are more aggrevating

You seem to be forgetting two things.
1) It is a game, where the objective is to win any way you can. Whether that's having 5 men at the back on ultra defensive and just hoofing it up, or having four upfront and having it on ultra attacking... you do what you feel needs to be done. Same as in real football, teams want the results. If they can look good on the way then great, but most matches are just ground out nowadays.

2) You can do this too. Although you may not choose to. It's available to you, so it isn't unfair... You just need to adjust your playing style to counter it.

in my team i go for skill. i just love doing it in games

I take long shots, because I'm good at them.

If I get a player like Gerrard ( aka God) open and he has a couple of metres in front of him, I take a few strides and have a shot, probably a 70% chance it would go in.

But I also do play a passing style of football and keep it on the carpet, rarely cross and rarely use lob through balls, just use quick passes, hold the ball but if the long shot is there I have a dig.

But mind you I just take them within 30 yards at the most.
