Hi guys, just a general enquiry, I have recently been looking at macs for a sort of, around the house type of Laptop. I am already in possession of a desktop, which isn't too bad and I love it.
The only problem is, that it's not very.. let's say.. portable.
My question is, do I go for a Mac laptop, or just a general Laptop?
At the moment, I am in love with mac computers and would really like to own one which I can take places and what not easily.
The only issue, is my brother says that they are sort of impractical for the money and I could get something completely better, but I'm not looking for anything high spec like 400 graphics cards and what not, because I don't want to use it for gaming.
therefore, I would just like to hear what you guys have to say.

I say if you want a mac get a used mac book, maybe 2010 model and just go witht that then your not paying outrageously and still have a decent mac book.

mainly for video streaming, video browsing, general browsing, social networking and things such as Email, I want to go for sort of the newer model Macs, the Aluminium bodied ones, but not the june onwards editions as they are upwards of 900
