FlyDream wrote Will there ever be flashing for the Xbox One? I believe it's when you can burn games onto DVD R-DL discs and play them. I would love to be able to do that because I hate going out and spending 60$ for a game I only play a couple times.

It would need a Blu Ray disc and a Blu Ray burner for it. I do believe it will come out soon, however.

Hilarious wrote Xbox One updates when the console is turned off and this cannot be stopped. Most of Xbox One is closed source so cannot be tampered with either.

But due to the back ground updating it will just brick all modified consoles.

It will not be possible. I can assure you.

Unplug the Xbox from the internet and make something like dashlaunch and make a setting where it makes it stop updating.

Hopefully it does. I'd much rather get a Blue Ray burner once than buy games from retail lol

Considering all Xbox One's are kits with signed keys and a certificate, the XVD mounter could lead more information on modifying certain keys as you can edit the kernel by accessing the System.XVD for whatever OS. By doing this you could create a launcher inside or whatever to bypass the certificate and even keep the environment in Production instead of others. (PNET, INT).

Chad Gibson even said the Xbox One's security isn't as locked down as it was with the 360.

They aren't true dev kits. They have their restrictions and I don't see what the point of hacking to get just a kiddie dev console.

It would still allow Xbc API, but no one is licensed to it that I know of yet, except DICE. But hey, Xbox 360 Test kits can be flashed to a DevKit with full functionality which can yet be done. But again, you can modify games through the virtual disk format. I don't see the point why but it won't last long before another update came out once it hit public.

Example would be TeamXoS.

I Highly doubt that there would be one, but as others have said it will ruin games if it were to happen.

I've already started on a program called XVD Explorer, lol. I've been doing my research and it's a modified version of .vhd.
