Linear wroteI dunno, my first build didn't cost much more than that. That played BF3 on medium on the 1st gen APU's. APU's are so underrated on gaming performance. It even plays BF4 on low. Such power for such a good price.Craigyy wroteLinear wroteThen he'll have to save up more, but 250GBP is enough for a starters gaming rig.Craigyy wrote 100GBP will just pay for the CPU buddy, you'll need to save up some more to get a nice small gaming rig.
250GBP is enough to play games.
He wants to play KSP, he will need a top end i5 (or equiv).
Probably - but i'd be worried about quoting that, it means cheaping out on too many parts.

I agree - they are amazing powerhouses, and allow easy upgrades with a paired gpu.
I would just worry about other upgrades, a low price means a awkward case, lower rated PSU, lower-end motherboard (chipset). If possible, it's always (in my opinion) saving for the golden 450 mark.

PAH, what a load of rubbish.
I run KSP on MAX with a 6300 and a 270X. It uses both CPU and GPU, not CPU.
But a friend of mine plays KSP on his 6 year old laptop which has a Intel Pentium Duo, so he does not need a top end i5.

Wow, you run it on max! that completely changes nothing at all, only semi demanding thing that changes is the AA.
Have you ever loaded something more than 250/300 parts? I honestly don't think so. In a semi-advanced save, even i7's start to lagg a lot. You really are clueless.

yeah, i have a ship on there with 212 parts, yes it lags a bit but it is still playable.
But he didn't say anything about max, i mean even my POS laptop can run KSP on low/medium with a ship with 50 parts on it.

If you want to play a game, it generally means you're going to play it quite a bit.
Within a few days of playing, you'll have several satellites, and missions requiring hundreds of parts.
If you want to play this game at any level other than complete noob - you need an i5, even if you have every setting on minimum.

do i need to say again, you DO NOT need an i5. my friend has several missions with his laptop running 2GB RAM, integrated graphics and a Pentium Duo.

No, you are wrong. If you want to feed people rubbish, go ahead. I can't be bothered helping anymore.
Hey everyone! Listen to this guy, you can run KSP with a few mods and a load of persistence parts with 2gb of ram and a pentium duo! He promises
