is this a decent combo for the price and i know ill still need an OS and i already have the other peripherals.

For the price that is great. I don't like the case but whatever floats your boat dude.

R9 270 to R9 270X and no ricer ugly case. You can pick up BF4 on eBay for $25 easy.

well i was looking at some review on the mobo and apparently it tends to fry the 8 core fx cpu. i was looking to stay around $800 USD
