Tight wroteYou have to respect them.
Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others don't.
I'm not a "Brony", but I still respect it.
I don't have to "respect" anyone/anything that I choose not to.
Acting like you enjoy watching a show made for adolescent girls aged 5-10 when you're a 13-18 you're old guy is just pathetic.
ShadowBoltDashie has an exception, though.

I felt the same way not too long ago my friend. That being said, I am not going to get irritated or annoyed with this type of topic since I completely understand and to a degree agree with you. Although I enjoy the show to an extent, I'm honestly more of a brony for the fandom. No matter who you are, what your background is, what you like, you are always accepted as a brony with open and loving arms. I've met some of the nicest people in this fandom and don't regret my decision one bit. I won't try to convince you to try the show because I like to believe in the saying "to each his own" and it'd be wrong of me to try to force you into something. I kind of see mlp as a "don't knock it till you try it" type of thing. I know it sounds weird to try mlp, believe me, I felt the same way. I didn't watch it with the intention of getting into it, I just wanted to know what the hell people saw I'm the show. When you get down to it, the show is full of humor, relatable characters and stories, good lessons to be learned, and so on. As for cloppers, people seem to assume that every brony clops which I guarentee is false. However, I don't judge because again, "to each his own". We bronies here on ttg did what we could to keep our fandom on our single thread on the television forums because we are aware that some people just don't want anything to do with it. If you take the time to read this, I just want to assure you don't diss the show on the fans of the show as the fandom doesn't affect the show in the slightest besides maybe silly references to the fandom hasbro will put in.
Oh my, I wrote a lot.

Who cares? To each his own.
It's just a tv show, and they happen to like it for whatever reason.

I figured I'd post so people can see another 'Brony' perspective.
For the people that think the show is for little kids and girls, trust me, I was there too at one point. My brother approached me after watching it at a friends house telling me to watch it and I literally laughed. What, a kid show? A show for little girls? YEAH RIGHT! He told me there was a rather large fan base behind it so I told him I'd watch ONE episode with him just to say I tried it. I wont say I'm obsessed, but I did and still do like it a lot. The reasons I like it are maybe different as well as same as other bronies.
I'm 15 and absolutely loved 'Little House on the Prairie'. I seriously watched every episode! A fantastic show that taught good morals, a little bit of history, and had a great story-line. (Seriously give this show a chance) The new generation of MLP does just that! Every episode teaches you something morally right. Do onto others as you'd have them do. Always assume positive intent. The list goes on and on. I like the music in it, as well as some of the fan based art! Clopping isn't something I like though... So please don't assume everyone does.

I just wanted to help clear some things for those who are ignorant on the subject and like to hop on some of the steriotypical bandwagon against bronies

It's just plain embarrassing. Grown men watching a show for 5 year old girls, get a life.

No, what is plain embarrassing is not reading any of the replies from actual Bronies and then forming an opinion.
