I recently received an iPhone 4 (guy said it was freshly restored to 7.0.4), so I went ahead and decided to jailbreak it. After jailbreaking it, the Cydia icon did not appear. I tried two more times, and I still could not get Cydia to show up.

I did hear that restoring your iPhone will make it work, however, if I restore it, it'll update to 7.1 (impossible jailbreak).

Unfortunately, I do not think the previous owner had an SHSH blobs saved (so I can restore back to 7.0.4 no problem)

So my question is: 1. Is there any way I can restore without updating? 2. Since I "attempted" a jailbreak, will it be safe for me to test out by erasing all the content on the iPhone and trying again?

yes there is a way to restore with out updating! let me grab you a video!

i believe this still works if it doesnt im sorry :/
they are currently working on a jailbreak for ios 7.1!

You can jailbreak an iPhone 4 but not 4s. The reason is because the 4 uses a limerain exploit that can never be patched, but unfortunetly it is tethered.Here is a video!
