I've never heard of it.
People probably haven't heard of it, thus not using it.
But that's just my opinion

Why is it not popular?
Compatability is limited to Windows 7/Vista/XP
Functionality - Do you know anyone that owns one of these that can vouch that it really works as advertised?
Quality - Doesn't record in as many high quality formats as competitors such as the HDPVR.
Practicality - Why pay $83 for a PC adapter when you can just get a screen recorder and emulator for most of these systems free of cost?
Reliability - This product comes straight from Hong Kong from a fairly unknown seller. You get what you pay for.
It looks like a cool concept, but it isn't worth what they charge in my opinion. Thanks for posting this though.

Kind of sums up what I would say but worded brilliantly , not high quality indeed

Most likely because it's low quality, there's a delay from the console to the screen, it's not from a well known brand and also because I had something like that and it was just terrible. But the main reason why it's not popular is most likely because it's from eBay, that's just my OP.
