i would like to jtag my 360 as i dont play it anymore and i was banned so if you can link me an actual tut and answer some questions i have i would appreciate it

Questions:
1) if i jtag can i run mod menus without xblse for offline fun by myself?
2) would i be able to unban an account and an xbox entirely

There's definitely a point.

If you're not experienced with modding, soldering, etc. I would just send it in to a trusted seller.

i used to code mw2 mod menus on ps3 and i had a jailbroken ps3, besides that about how much do you think it would cost to send it to someone?

I doubt you're going to be able to JTAG it. I'm assuming you were banned recently which would mean you were on a recent dash. You can only JTAG a console that is on dash 7371 or lower. You can not unban an XBL account with a modified console, but you can unban the console itself. You can use mod menus etc offline, yes.

i havent played my xbox in 4 months and i was using horizon and modding in achievements at that time and my power brick died and i got on xbox.com and i was banned as of 2 weeks ago

Then you can't JTAG it. The JTAG method was patched 5 years ago. You can RGH the console though. Depending on your dash, you can RGH1 or RGH2 it. Well, unless it's a xenon or zephyr mobo.

No, not at all. Completely different methods, basically the same exploit. They do most of the same things. RGH consoles do not boot instantly, whereas JTAGs do boot instantly. A few other differences as well.
