this is my Mayday solo strategy.
and I apologize for my grammar (I'm not really good at English)

Note: this is a strategy for my play style.

Loadout setup:
Class: Weapon specialist
Pistol type: any (I prefer the MP-443)
Ammo type: Armor pierce ammo or explosive ammo (I prefer armor pierce ammo)
Team support: Armor
Strike package: IMS, sentry gun or Vulture (I prefer to use IMS or Vulture)
Equalizer: Riot Shield

use of skill points (max 24 skill points you can unlock, if you don't use armory upgrade)
weapon specialist to fast reloading
Ammo to max
Armor to max
Last on weapon specialist
IMS, Sentry or Vulture max
the rest is your choice

Area 1
3 hives, 3 doors
first thing you want to do is to open up all the doors because you get more boxes and if you open all the doors you will get 15000 score
whenn you place the drill on a door in the first place of area 1 it will spawn one of this things, (2 hunter, 2 scouts), (4 seekers, 2 scouts) or (5-10 scouts).
try to do all challenge (if you play solo regular you will not get any weapon challenges.
take the sticky flare schematic and make it.
and don't open the small boxes before you got a weapon (I prefer to use Honey Badger)
whenn you get to the tentacle part just try to take out the tentacle as fast as you can because the tentacle is the thing that is spawning the most aliens also it is the challenge in that place.

Area 2
3 hives, 4 doors
whenn you place the drill on the door, it will spawn either 1 seeder or 1 phantom (on coop it will spawn 1 phantom and 1 rhino).
take whenn you get to the hangar you should open the doors and get the venom-X,LX,SX or FX
I personally still like the Venom-X better.
on solo when you place the drill on a door it will spawn (1 rhino), (1-2 phantoms) or (1-2 seeder).
whenn you get to the part whenre you are placing the drill on a mobile device, the best way to complete this is to have full focus on the drill and if you get hit from behind just turn around kill it and look back to the drill. it is a big chance you will get the challenge (don't let the drill go down to 50).
whenn you get to the door after you have destroyed all 3 hives, it will spawn 1 rhino for each player that are there (I have played solo = 1 rhino, 2 coop = 2 rhino and 3 coop = 3 rhino)
whenn you are going on the crane, if you jump off or fall off you will spawn on top whenre the crane is, you just need to wait till the crane are finished.

Area 3
5 hives, 2 doors
it will spawn alot of seeders, phantoms and rhino but you will make it.
not alot to say about the first place.
only tip I got on this area is whenn you get to whenre you are going to gas the room you should stay on the top floor because you can protect all 4 at the same time and if you got an IMS you can place it on 1 of them on the first floor. also try to take out the seeders ASAP because you don't want 10-15 alien turrets targeting you

Kraken
what you want to do is first (if you have enough money) use a IMS, sentry gun or vulture whatever you chosen.
whenn you look at kraken on your right back it will be a turret, use it and also use the strike package to protect you while you are shooting at the kraken and also remember to stand on the alien tissue because whenn the kraken is taking his coffee break, he will make the floor burn with gas. after shooting him alot of times, he will scream at you with his EMP breath and that will stop the turret for a little time but he will dive under the boat and come on the other side so just run over to the other turret that is just across from the turret you just used. just remember to do that every time he dives.
just remember to also protect yourself for aliens that will spawn.
