i have a load of pop ups and stuff and i went to remove them by going to the "uninstall a program" bit. when i went there not all the programs i have were there? can you help me get it back to the way it was with all the programs i have being listed?

Most likely adware that you've acquired packed along with freeware you've downloaded from the internet. A standard anti-virus doesn't remove these, you need something like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Both are fairly straightforward to use.

+1 on malwarebytes. Its by far one of the best anti malware softwares i have ever used. Literally set and forget, fantastic. 10/10 would recommend
