I bought my new xbox saturday (Xbox 360 60gb phat) and I took it apart Saturday night and left it apart and now when I put a disc in it's saying 'Open Tray' and it won't read the discs?

Yes, I have just took the hard drive out and I put a disc in and it wasn't play, so I span the disc with my had and now it's working properly again?

That is strange.

Have you put the Xbox fully back together?

No because I like to make iso's and hotswap them so I didn't really want to be taking it apart and putting it back together with every Iso that I make...

should of left it alone. Could be laser, could be spindle or worm gear or you plugged in backwards and shorted the circuit board. You say you spun the disk and it worked. (Got lucky) anyways that sounds like the spindle that the disk rides on or laser is going to fail
