Hey guys,

I have a problem with my headset and was wondering if anyone could help me find out the problem.

Okay, so the headset I have is the Tritton Trigger Xbox 360. I've had it for a while now with no issues. But all of a sudden, I can't hear out the left headphone for some reason - unless I turn the headphones up to max volume, then I can hear out of it slightly but then meaning that the right headphone is super loud.

The weird thing is I can actually hear Xbox Live chat out of it perfectly fine, but game audio is the problem. Also, if I have the jack that comes from the headphones themselves half way in the little box thing where you turn up game audio volume and chat volume, I can hear through both but its a bit quieter. But then I can't talk to my friends if I have it like this.

If anyone knows what the problem is or how to fix it, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks everyone

As you were saying you could hear perfectly out of one side then I was thinking there may be something wrong with the cables as that is what is wrong with my triton headset.
However as it is just game audio and not chat volume I believe it may be settings in game?
Go in to the setting once in game and turn up the in game volume or I believe you can do that through actual xbox settings

Thanks Whey,

but I've tried various games and turned up the volume in them and still nothing in the left headphone. I've also tried changing the settings in the actual Xbox settings, but none of them helped it.

So my best guess is that it is something internally within the headphones that I can't really fix, which is a bit annoying, so I guess I'll have to buy a new headset.

But thanks again anyway

This is what happened to my Triton Trigger Headset. I called Mad Catz about the problem but they said there is nothing they could do to fix it (Unless it has a warranty). If you do not have a warranty for this headset you would probably be better off going and buying a pair of Turtle Beach X12's, which is what I did. Hope this helped. Sorry about your Headset.

Unfortunately I don't have a warranty.

I'll have a look at the Turtle Beach X12's and see what I think!

Thanks Fresh

Anytime. The X12's I think are the same price as the Triton Triggers, but the Turtle Beaches quality cannot be beat.

Or the turtle beach x11s are cheaper and offer good quality sound. The only problem is that the wiring is a common fault as they tend to mess up sometimes. However if you purchase a pair with warranty that would be a cheaper option

I hope you find a pair which you like and of good quality
