If I place my KV.bin on the root of my hard drive, will XBLSE use that instead of the one flashed to my NAND? Some guy suggested that, and I wasn't sure about it, so let me know. Thank you!

Yep if you leave it on the root of your hdd, XBLSE with flash it for you.
