In what may be a game changer in the Scottish independence referendum this September, the elusive Loch Ness Monster has reportedly been spotted on Apple Maps.

Images on the satellite mapping service shows what appears to be a 100-ft-long floating creature, using its flippers to wade through the Loch in the Scottish Highlands with its neck dipped down into the water.

26-year-old Andrew Dixon, one of two people who separately spotted the Nessie-like figure, told the Daily Mail: It was a total fluke that I found it. I was looking at satellite images of my town and then just thought Id have a look at Loch Ness.

The charity worker for the Great North Air Ambulance from Darlington, County Durham, added: The first thing that came into my head when I saw it was, Thats the Loch Ness Monster. It was the shape of it I thought it had to be something more than a shadow.

That kind of looks like a giant Catfish if I'm being honest.

Pretty interesting but it's really hard to tell what it is, it probably might be the loch ness but who knows until we have solid proof that it exists.

Unless researchers can get in the water and see it with human eyes and maybe get pictures below water, I am gonna be a bit skeptical of it being the loch ness monster.

Now I know there are actual fish bigger than school buses in the water. I know where I live, in the river, there are catfish bigger than cars.

We have yet to scratch the surface of the type of fish that are under the water.

It won't happen because it doesn't exist.

I mean you can't really say it doesn't exist just because you have never actually seen it. It could be out there, you never know? Weirder things have happened.

I see it as a large fish.
I don't believe in the loch ness monster.
To me it doesn't make sense. Just like Bigfoot.
Why would there be only one of an entire species that has happened to live for centuries?
