A couple days ago my fathers friend came over he is a pilot,he said that whenever aircrafts prepare for a trip they calculate how much fuel they need to the drop so non is wasted this means that you cannot take a d-tour right?
so when aircraft crossed Vietnam border it switches of the black box because its no more needed because there in new territory, while they have turned this of and entered the Vietnam army are there and have spotted this plane and its unidentified.
When a plane is unidentified they would send a jet up next to the unidentified plane and check if there are pilots and if they are responsive eg.the would glide right and that would indicate to an pilot that knows his stuff to follow him to show no threat to the jet,but maybe because they had the insact amount of fuel they weren't able to do that.
say they didn't move to the right and copy the jet they would be shot down, and once shot down i think the army saw that they messed up and took down civillians and covered up.
sorry for grammar

The Vietnam wouldn't just shoot an aircraft down for passing its border might get concerned but not shoot it down if that's the case so many planes would be shoot down by know

The fuel is not that much of a problem (apart from making the plane run) as there are many airports and landing zones they could land at.
Being the Vietnam army, there would be a landing strip if they badly needed to land.

Man, i really struggled with that. Like i had to read it a few times over to understand. While fuel is calculated to a good deal, its never so much that they wouldn't be able to move slightly off course. I understand where you are coming from, but it's so unrealistic that that would ever happen that I'm certain it's never happened before. Passenger planes HAVE to calculate for detours and traffic at airports, so they always, and i mean always have some reserve. What is left is either use in the calculations for the next flight, or siphoned out. And, just for the record, a passenger plane CANNOT turn its blackbox off, its a device that is not normally accessible, and would cause more issues to turn off than it would to just leave on.
