Okay so the desktop was built for gaming and i just got it off on one of my buddys, it has two harddrives in it, a 50gb and a 230gb or something like that, well the 50gn drive is full and everything goes to that drive, so i am unable to download anything at the moment, i also have more drives i was wondering if they could be put in it as well or if the 50bg drive could be replaced, i have never messed with a home built computer and most of the files look important, i also am unsure how to allow file to download to the other non full drive.
any suggestions?

Ok, if there is a 50G HDD and a 230bg showing, it has probably been split into patritions, one for the OS and one for files. I doubt its two harddrives, separating them looks like to hard drives.
When downloading, you usally get to choose where they save and just select the empty one, otherwise go through the settings and choose default save place to the empty.

No there is really two drives from looking inside, and yes the 60GB HDD* is the one for the Windows7 OS and the other one just sits there with nothing on it, im not sure the steps of changing the default save destination but i will look around in the settings. and if both SATA ports are being used is it possible to even add my extra HDD's?

so if your problem is downloads, if your using chrome (but applies to all browsers) just go into your settings in the browser and change the download save destination. If you want to change the drive use windows backup to make an image and put it on another drive, and then put a new drive in and reinstall windows using the image from the 60GB drive. This will work as i had to do it for a similar situation, and its how i solved my problem. If you need help putting a new HDD in there are plenty of tutorials on youtube that will help you out.
