The Chromebook has recently caught my attention as I am looking for a school laptop. I already have a gaming laptop, so this would only be fore school use. I have read quite a bit about it so far so I understand what it has to offer.
My question here is; do you have a Chromebook and if so would you recommend it for school purposes?
This is the model I am considering.... [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

As haswell said, it wil be good for notetaking, running word, powerpoint and things like that. For browsing the internet i would recommend just using your gaming laptop

It doesn't run word, power point, or excel, which frightens me a little. It does run programs similar to those however, but I'm not sure if they are as good and if my school would allow files like that to be handed in, as they are not in the .doc or .ppt format.
