Proms in america seem like they are took seriously.
Im in england and i havent been to a prom, Probably wont go as it seems to much and i probably wont have a date lol.
I would rather have a prom in america than the Uk.

lol, at my "prom" in the UK, our tickets were 20gbp... And my girlfriend at the time bought her own ticket lol!
On top of that, my Dad owns a limo company, so we travelled in a Rolls Royce that I didn't have to pay out for xD
My Dad also knows people in the suiting/tux area too, since he and his drivers need them, so I hired a tux at mates rates ;)

Damn your prom is cheap.. Man my tickets cost 125 each. My suit was 350 i paid for her dress which was 200. Than the limo 350 for 6 hours, hotel 300 for 2 nights, food/alcohol etc.. lol. I for sure about spent 2k on prom weekend.. But it was all worth it. For sure a weekend to remember. I mean you only do it once. Luckily I had a job at the time lol.
PS: The women im with now was my prom date.. ;) So it was all worth it.

Wow our prom really doesn't cost that much, we have a load of chances to win free prom tickets and if you have enough of these point thingies you get prom tickets for free as well so I will only need to hire a suit and pay for a few other things ;)

Here I had to pay $24 [14 per person, or 24 a couple]
I had to rent my Tux which was about $200
Going to dinner before with my date Estimating about $45-65 [Will say $55] will be spent there.
All being paid by me, so grand total near: $279
Senior prom will be more expensive lol. Got better plans for her for here senior prom.
