Alright, I have never used Illustrator before and I know it can make vector images. So I have a logo and I just want to get rid of the white background surrounding the logo. By the way I'm using version CS6. I originally made the logo in Photoshop and just imported it into Illustrator but Illustrator put a white background. Also I used image trace to trace the image.

Here's a screenshot.

You already did step one by using image trace. The second step would be to use the "Expand" button beside of your image trace option. Then double click on the white background and press your delete key on your keyboard. Lastly, you'll need to either manually exit isolation mode because you double clicking will put you in isolation mode, or you could just press the escape key!
