I am a decent editor, I use After Effects mainly for all the effects, twitch, twixtor, and CC (Color Correction) and then I use Sony Vegas to polish, like add in some overlays, place the clips exactly where I want them. For things like intros, I use Element 3D in After Effects as it makes it look sooo cool. For things like Camera Tracking, use After Effects 3D camera tracking plugin and then add Element 3D to make the text pop.

I wouldn't consider you a decent editor. You look like you've just started.

I only use sony vegas and my edits are better then most ae editors but i bean using it for 2 years know and no how to do anything on close to perfect. So i guess if u dont want to spend a couple years on a program try sv and then get better at it and switch to ae . Sony Vegas is better/Easier in my opinion. good luck aslo i use C4D for my 3d work thats hard as dicks to use so dont even try it.
