I saw something like this I think on the gadget show. It was just a flat back with removable things such as storage space or camera quality which you can change within the blink of an eye.

yh I cant wait to see how project ara turns out, Im guessing it will be similar to a upgradeable PC by the way in which you can swamp components around easily. If this is the case this will be interesting as you could by a cheap base of the phone and then upgrade it when you have more money or you want more power from it which can save money from buying anew phone.
