Honestly, people choose to immigrate to places like Britain, Canada, the US, Australia, etc. These places all accept immigrants, and as a person who was born from people who immigrated to Canada, I realize how tough it is for immigrants to get accustomed to the western way of living. However, the thing is, every immigrant chooses to immigrate. If they want their way of living to stay the exact same, they should not immigrate. It's that simple. Otherwise, immigrants should be able to conform, to a degree, to the culture and society that they are immigrating to, as long is it is not discriminating against them or restricting their freedoms. If they don't like it, again, they chose to move.
I find it terrible that this happened, thankfully it didn't happen in Canada, but that sucks for Britain. If Muslims didn't want ham and bacon in Subway stores, they didn't have to order them. But they took it up a notch and decided to remove the ability for everyone who eats at Subway to buy products with ham and bacon in them, simply based on a rule from the culture/religion they came from.

Twiistys wrote I agree with both sides here. It is nobody's country but the majority of the country speaks English and follows English traditions, but we are slowly losing these traditions. I walked into my local town centre once to see a Polski (Polish) shop, it looked appealing so I went inside. However they did not serve me purely because I am British this obviously prompted anger as I was disallowed to buy an item because I was British. On the other hand British shops like Tesco and Argos for example are happy to serve any religion, race or nationality so why shouldn't they?
I am sorry if this offended anybody, we are treading lightly because it is a sensitive subject but my point had to be displayed
You do know that it is illegal what they done to you

Personally, i think its absolutely ridicoulous. if we were to go into Pakistan or UAE or any Muslim originated countries and say "PLEASE PUT HAM ON YOUR MENU, IF YOU DONT I WILL BE OFFENDED" and as soon as you say that, you're in a prison cell. It really is ridiculous, there is not a chance in hell they would change ANY laws or food menus in their home countries for Catholics/Protestants etc.

People get pissed about everything and any minority, racial, socioeconomic, religious, etc., all have leverage. They can blame it on discrimination. I don't get why they can't just avoid ordering the ham bacon lmao. Since when is Britain a muslim theocracy? Stupid a** s**t,
